Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our collaborative, four-doctor small animal practice.

What You'll Do
Every day is different, but your responsibilities may include:
- Assist veterinarians during medical, surgical, and dental procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery and monitor anesthesia from induction through recovery
- Perform physical assessments and obtain accurate patient histories
- Place IV catheters, collect blood and laboratory samples, and administer treatments
- Perform venipuncture and process in-house and reference laboratory samples
- Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care
- Educate clients on medications, treatments, preventative care, and discharge instructions
- Prepare treatment plans and estimates while helping clients understand recommended care
- Maintain accurate medical records using AVImark
- Help maintain treatment areas, exam rooms, pharmacy, and surgical equipment
- Work closely with doctors and teammates to provide efficient, high-quality patient care
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous hands-on experience in a veterinary hospital
- Is credentialed (CVT/LVT) or has equivalent veterinary technician experience
- Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team
- Communicates confidently and compassionately with clients
- Takes initiative and enjoys staying busy
- Has experience with-or is excited to continue developing-skills in surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, and nursing care
- Appreciates thoughtful medicine and advocates for every patient
