The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Northwell Health seeks a Urogynecologist to join the Vassar Brothers Medical Center and Northern Dutchess Hospital team as we expand Women’s Health services across the Health System.
Located on the banks of the scenic Hudson River, Vassar Brothers Medical Center has a new 752,000 square-foot, eight-level inpatient pavilion with 263 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms. Vassar provides the leading acute and critical emergency care in the region, including Level II Trauma Service and Interventional Neuroradiology. Vassar has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, neurosciences, cancer care, and women’s health. Vassar is consistently ranked as one of the strongest cardiac programs in the United States and one of the Top 100 Heart Hospitals by Modern HealthCare Magazine.
Northern Duchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY is a 68-bed acute care, not-for-profit, community hospital. The hospital has an 87,000 square foot pavilion that has advanced clinical care available to the community. The pavilion has spacious, private patient rooms and state-of-the-art surgical suites equipped with minimally invasive technology, including the da Vinci Surgical System.
Rhinebeck is part of one of the largest historic districts in the US located along the scenic Hudson River. Rhinebeck offers New York City culture in a friendly, small-town setting. The village offers a plethora of restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, as well as larger events at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. Outdoor enthusiasts will find great skiing, hiking, biking, fishing and boating nearby. We are seeking a physician who desires to escape the hustle and bustle of big city living, while retaining access to top-rated restaurants, performing arts centers, museums, excellent housing and school systems, and prestigious colleges and universities. Area colleges include Bard, Vassar, Marist, and SUNY New Paltz, as well as the Culinary Institute of America. New York City is easily accessible via Amtrak.
The Hudson Valley of New York boasts a terrific quality of life. From hiking, biking, and boating, to cafes, art galleries, and local farmers' markets, this beautiful suburban location offers a wide array of four-season recreational activities. The area has excellent housing and highly rated public and private school options. The Mid-Hudson Valley is also home to many fine colleges and universities, including Vassar College, Bard College, Marist College, SUNY New Paltz, and the Culinary Institute of America. Only 75 minutes north of New York City, the area offers easy commuter access to the city via Metro North and Amtrak rail lines.
