Sterile Processing Technician Supervisor

Location: Bethpage, NY

Pay: $1,884.80 per week

Shifts: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every third weekend required

Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician Supervisor for a very large, busy state-of-the-art off-site reprocessing center in Bethpage, NY. This travel role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic work environment providing essential sterile processing services for multiple facilities, including tertiary sites and ambulatory surgery centers.

Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician Supervisor

• Supervise and coordinate the staff and daily operations of Central Sterile services.
• Ensure staff compliance with sterilization techniques, policies, and procedures.
• Document sterilization activities and maintain department records.
• Serve as a liaison between Central Sterile department and perioperative areas.
• Care for and handle all instrumentation received through decontamination area.
• Accept and tag fast tracks.
• Assign employees to tasks and adjust assignments as needed.

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician Supervisor

• Current Registered Central Supply Technician Certification (CRCST or CSPD), must not expire during the assignment.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Leadership/management experience required.
• Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to lift/carry 25 pounds and manual dexterity required.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and/or reach for extended periods required.
• Effective communication skills in English required.
