Benefis is seeking an outpatient consultative MFM subspecialist to support our obstetrical team practicing at our large regional health system in Great Falls, Montana, with a catchment area of 275,000. Montana's state population is just over 1 million people, and nearly a quarter of the population is covered by Benefis Health System. We proudly serve a 15-county area across central Montana, and our specialists travel the region and use telemedicine to provide hometown service to our rural patients.
Clinic Details
- Outpatient practice is located in a brand-new standalone Women's and Children's Center dedicated to full spectrum women's and children's care including obstetric, gynecology, urogynecology, maternal-fetal medicine, fertility testing and services, an office midwife program, and mammography
- Patient care spaces feature private reception area, welcoming exam rooms, 2 dedicated ultrasound rooms and large procedure rooms, in addition to mammogram and DEXA scan services in the building.
- Current Women's Health team: 4 OB/GYNs, 1 MFM, 1 Urogynecologist, 1 office-based midwife, 3 nurse practitioners, 2 RDMS sonographers with fetal echo certification and genetic counselor. We also have Pediatric Cardiology in the community.
- Great clinical and support staff to provide patient care and consistent follow up.
- Patient offerings include: donor breast milk programs, comprehensive childbirth classes, Meadowlark Initiative perinatal services, safe sleep for infants and more.
Labor and Delivery/NICU
- Level II maternal center with 1500+ deliveries per year - our practice averages about 675 deliveries annually
- Our level III NICU is staffed with neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, nursing, and respiratory therapists able to care for 23 weeks gestation and above.
- Labor and Delivery is located across the street from the outpatient practice and has 19 LDRP rooms, 5 high risk antepartum rooms, and 2 operating rooms with 24/7 in house CRNAs on the unit, a 3-bed triage area, and a dedicated call room if needed
- Pediatric hospitalists are available 24/7 for newborn rounds and cares
- Dedicated in-house Mercy Flight (helicopter and fixed-wing air transport) with maternal and neonatal transfer teams for regional transfers across 15+ rural counties
