This is a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner role, based on-site at our Charleston, WV location. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions, prescribing medications, and assisting with minor procedures under the supervision of the lead physician. The role also involves patient education, developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate medical records, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills, including the ability to assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans.
- Proficiency in patient education, including providing clear guidance on recovery, treatment, and preventive measures.
- Experience in minor procedural assistance and hands-on patient care in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with patients and healthcare providers.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of West Virginia, along with national board certification.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans.
- Experience in podiatry or a related medical field is preferred but not required.
