OB/GYN Hospitalist / Laborist - Full-Time

Position Summary:
White Plains Hospital is seeking Board Certified/Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalists (Laborists) to join a well-established, high-performing program in a busy tertiary care setting.
White Plains Hospital is a proud member of the Montefiore Health System, serving as its tertiary hub of advanced care in the Hudson Valley.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time employed position
- 12-hour shifts with 24-hour in-house coverage
- No call requirement
- Approximately 2,500 deliveries annually

Clinical Responsibilities:
The OB/GYN Hospitalist/Laborist will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in collaboration with private obstetrical providers and the multidisciplinary Labor & Delivery team, including:
- Provide care for unassigned patients who present to Labor & Delivery or provide obstetrical consultation in collaboration with the Emergency Department when requested.
- Provide OB triage and OB Emergency Department services.
- Evaluate and manage obstetric patients requiring inpatient care, urgent assessment, and emergent intervention.
- Perform vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and other obstetrical procedures for patients of private Obstetrical Providers in emergency situations or in coordination with the patient’s private OB provider.
- Serve as a surgical assistant for private OB providers when needed.
- Participate in the management of obstetric emergencies and high-risk clinical situations within the Labor & Delivery unit.
- Collaborate with nurses, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, and other members of the care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Active or eligible for New York State medical licensure
- Completion of an OB/GYN residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- 1+ year experience preferred
- New graduates with OB/GYN Hospitalist Fellowship training will be considered
