The Department of Emergency Medicine at The MetroHealth System, a nationally recognized academic medical center and principal teaching affiliate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP or ACNP) to join Metro Life Flight, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier critical care transport programs.
This is an exceptional opportunity to provide advanced critical care aboard helicopter and ground critical care transport units. As part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, flight nurses, paramedics, pilots, and EMS professionals, you will care for critically ill and injured patients requiring rapid transport to specialized tertiary and quaternary care centers throughout the region.

- Utilize advanced critical care procedures, monitoring, medications, and technologies.

What You’ll Do
- Assess, stabilize, and manage critically ill and injured adult and pediatric patients during transport.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for complex, time-sensitive clinical conditions.
- Manage mechanical ventilation, invasive monitoring, vasoactive medications, blood products, and advanced cardiac and critical care therapies.
- Perform and/or assist with advanced critical care procedures within established scope of practice and program competencies.
- Collaborate with EMS agencies, trauma teams, intensivists, surgeons, specialty services, and referring and receiving hospitals.
- Provide comprehensive critical care throughout the transport continuum, from referring facility or scene through arrival at the receiving center.
- Promote safe transport operations, clinical excellence, and optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to ongoing education, simulation, quality improvement, and clinical research.

Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
- Graduate of an accredited Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) program.
- Current Ohio RN and APRN licensure and national board certification.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Eligibility for clinical privileges through The MetroHealth System.
- Critical care, emergency medicine, trauma, or transport experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in high-acuity, rapidly changing clinical environments.
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
