Veterinary Technician – High-Volume Spay/Neuter
Spay Taos is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) team. This role includes patient prep, anesthesia induction/monitoring, surgical assistance, and post-operative recovery care in a fast-paced, mission-driven clinic.
Responsibilities:
Safely handle and restrain cats and dogs
Administer medications, monitor anesthesia, and provide pain management
Prepare patients for surgery and assist with recovery
Maintain surgical instruments, controlled drug logs, and accurate records
Communicate discharge instructions to clients with compassion
Spay Taos is a nonprofit organization that provides free spay/neuter services for Taos, Colfax, and Mora Counties. We are typically open Tuesday through Thursday. If you are interested in joining our team, please send a resume and contact information to Donna.karr@gmail.com

Requirements
Qualifications:
Licensed/credentialed technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) or equivalent experience
1+ year veterinary clinical experience (HQHVSN preferred)
Strong anesthesia/surgical nursing skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment
