Kintura, a not-for-profit organization is seeking a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for River Landing - our continuing care retirement community located in Colfax, N.C. The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator position assists the Executive Director in providing organizational leadership to advance the mission, vision, and values of the community. This role plans, organizes, directs, and supports day-to-day operations across all households and shared services to ensure regulatory compliance and financial sustainability, strengthen person-centered and resident-directed practices, and promote continuous learning and team development.
Job Highlights
- Provides expertise, coaching, and skill-building to staff across all households; ensures households have the resources (community connections, materials, supplies, knowledge) needed to succeed and sustain a strong home environment.
- Ensures effective hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation processes for staff who are cross-trained within the Community Mentor’s professional scope to support quality outcomes.
- Leads participation in continuous quality improvement activities, including measurement, follow-up, and corrective action. Performs audits, rounding, and observations to confirm competency and adherence to standards within the Community Mentor’s professional scope.
- Serves as a subject matter resource to Household Coordinators, Household Guides, and household teams; provides consultation and guidance as requested.
- Follows fiscal policies and procedures that support financial stability and integrity; oversees development of the annual operating budget and required financial reporting; and partners with Household Coordinators on personnel management practices when a dedicated Human Resources leader is not available.
- Follows applicable federal, state, and local laws and accepted professional standards. To include requirements established by relevant boards, councils, and professional organizations. Ensure compliance.

Requirements
Health Care Administrator Qualifications include:
- Licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in NC with appropriate work experience in the healthcare field
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate managerial field, or experience equivalent
- Minimum five years experience in a supervisory capacity
- Passion and innovation for aging services with the ability to keep abreast of changes in the aging field
- Creativity, organization, and the drive to successfully lead, direct, and manage a diverse team, developing trust
