The selected Endocrinologist will engage in clinical practice, research, and educational activities in the beautiful city of Charleston.
About Our DivisionThe Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolic Diseases has a remarkable fifty-year legacy in clinical, translational, and fundamental research focused on diabetes complications. Recognized as a High Performing entity in diabetes care by a leading publication, our division is committed to providing innovative treatments and personalized care to help patients manage their diabetes effectively.
Essential Qualifications- Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology
- A strong academic orientation with a keen interest in teaching and community outreach
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
- Provide care for a wide range of endocrine disorders, including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, bone, gonadal, and metabolic issues, alongside diabetes management.
- Participate in a newly established joint endocrine/obstetric clinic and contribute to developing telemedicine initiatives.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of sixteen physicians, ten nurse practitioners/physician assistants, and dieticians.
- Engage in teaching responsibilities for six Endocrinology fellows, as well as rotating residents and medical students.
