At VCSG, you will work alongside board-certified specialists and utilize some of the most advanced diagnostic and treatment tools in veterinary medicine, including:
Advanced Imaging: Onsite 1.5 Tesla MRI, 128-slice CT scanner, and C-arm fluoroscopy.
Critical Care Support: High-flow oxygen ventilation, long-term ventilators, and an onsite blood bank.
Dedicated Cancer Center: Featuring our new, state-of-the-art Varian 2024 Edge Linear Accelerator for advanced radiation oncology
Community Partnerships: Our team works in partnership with the Erlanger Life Force K9 Transport Unit, the first of its kind in the state.
What You'll Do
As a vital member of our Emergency and Critical Care team, you will:
Provide Advanced Nursing Care: Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and precise drug calculations.
Manage Anesthesia & Surgery: Partner with specialists to design anesthesia protocols, monitor complex procedures, and respond quickly to emergencies.
Lead Life-Saving Interventions: Monitor critical patients and initiate CPR as needed (annual RECOVER-CPR training provided onsite).
Utilize In-House Diagnostics: Run comprehensive testing in our advanced laboratory and capture high-quality digital radiographs.
Qualifications
Experience: 1–2 years of veterinary nursing experience; preference given to ER, Urgent Care, or Specialty/Referral backgrounds.
Credentials: LVT, RVT, or CVT preferred (and required for the sign-on bonus).
Availability: Must be available for evening, overnight, or weekend shifts.
Skills: Strong medical math, thorough anesthetic knowledge, and exceptional communication.
