Eastland Memorial Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Emergency Department Manager to lead our dedicated team in providing exceptional emergency care to our community.
The Hospital
Eastland Memorial Hospital (EMH) is a 22-bed Critical Access Hospital. Services include Acute Medical-Surgical care, Outpatient Care Services, General Surgery and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). EMH provides rehabilitation programs including cardiac rehab, physical therapy and wellness. Eastland Memorial Emergency Department sees about 6,500 patients annually.
Job Summary
The Emergency Department (ED) Manager is responsible for the daily leadership, management, and oversight of the Emergency Services Department. This role ensures high-quality, safe, and patient-centered nursing care, appropriate staffing, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with inpatient units and ancillary departments. The ED Manager provides direct clinical support as needed and promotes a professional practice environment aligned with Eastland Memorial Hospital’s mission, values, and standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, hospital policies and accreditation surveys.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative leadership to optimize patient care

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, MSN desired.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas required.
- Current BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS and PALS required within 3 months of hire.
- TNCC required within 12 months of hire.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in emergency or critical care is required.
- Additionally, 1 year leadership, charge nurse or management experience in a hospital Emergency Department setting is required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
