Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center Seeks a Director, Emergency Department in Medford, Oregon!
The Position
The Director, Emergency Department will provide nursing and operational leadership for the 44-bed unit at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. This leader will set clear standards, provide staff with the resources they need, and foster an accountable, respectful environment for delivering high-quality emergency care.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader will oversee approximately 200 FTEs, including two direct reports.
Key priorities include improving patient flow, reducing length of stay and patient holds, and supporting the opening of additional beds and an observation unit. This leader will partner with staff and providers to advance vertical care, mentor the department’s manager and supervisor, and use Epic and performance data to guide improvements in a unionized environment.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Emergency Department leader with deep clinical and operational knowledge. This individual will bring a calm, steady presence to a high-acuity department, listen to staff, address difficult issues directly, and guide change without becoming rattled.
Requirements
BSN required; MSN preferred.
Active RN license required.
A minimum of five years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an Emergency Department required.
Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) certification and completion of the Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
