CVICU Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Cardiac Surgery
Full-Time | Part-Time | Per Diem Opportunities
10-Hour & 24-Hour Shifts Available

Join the Luminis Health Cardiac Surgery team as an experienced Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA). We are seeking skilled Advanced Practice Providers for opportunities across the CVICU, operating room, and full-scope cardiac surgery service.
Working collaboratively with cardiac surgeons, physicians, APPs, nurses, and other members of the clinical team, you will help manage cardiac surgery patients throughout the preoperative, perioperative, postoperative, ICU, and outpatient settings.
Depending on the position and scope, responsibilities may include:
- Evaluate and manage complex cardiac surgery patients
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- Interpret diagnostic testing and clinical findings
- Perform ICU bedside procedures, including arterial and central line insertion
- Perform endovascular vein harvesting
- First assist in cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve, and aortic surgery
- Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Incorporate current research and best practices into patient care
- Participate in group call, including night and weekend coverage

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, OR
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- 6 years of related cardiac surgery clinical experience as a PA or ACNP
- Current license as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
