Description
Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a skilled and Advanced Practice Provider to join our Surgical Oncology team.
The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in Breast Surgical Oncology and will work collaboratively under the supervision of our Breast Oncologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Breast Oncology assessments including history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
- Manage patients at high risk for breast cancer and benign breast conditions
- Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow-up visits.
- Order, Draw, and interpret genetic testing and diagnostic imaging
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with collaborating physicians
- Support Breast Surgeons in routine post-operative management
- Provide patient education on disease surveillance, lifestyle modifications, and medication management
- Assist with hospital rounding, consults, and discharge planning
- Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
- Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
- National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant
- DEA License
- Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida
- BLS/ACLS
Preferred Skills:
- Certification as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record
