Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Full Time Inpatient Opportunity at AdventHealth Palm Coast

General Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C), under the supervision of designated collaborating physician(s), is responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient consultative services, as well as procedural support within the Interventional Radiology Department. This position is hospital-based and plays a key role in supporting radiology services across several AdventHealth campuses, with a focus on both patient evaluation/management and procedures.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Performing initial and follow up evaluations for both inpatient and outpatient Interventional Radiology consultations

• Providing general support for the IR program in the hospital

• Performing and assisting with a variety of procedures including lumbar punctures, myelograms, arthrograms/joint injections, fluoroscopy studies, and others.

• Ordering appropriate diagnostic tests and medications for patient management

• Monitoring patients' clinical course and making appropriate referrals to collaborating physicians or specialists

• Effective documentation in the EPIC EMR to ensure communication of patient management with other providers

• Collaborating closely with supervising physicians and radiology staff to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care

• Demonstrating a caring, professional attitude and commitment to personal and professional growth

• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with physicians, staff, patients, and the public

Schedule Details:

• Full-Time | 7 Days On / 7 Days Off

• No call or evening requirements outside of scheduled shifts

Practice & Hospital Coverage

Primary Facilities:

• AdventHealth Palm Coast (weekday primary location)

Weekend Coverage Rotation:

• AdventHealth Palm Coast

• AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway

• AdventHealth Daytona

• AdventHealth New Smyrna

During weekdays, the APP will provide consultation and procedural support at AdventHealth Palm Coast. On weekends, the APP will primarily focus on performing procedures across the broader network of hospitals above, working as a team with the IR physician also covering those same hospitals.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Strong clinical assessment and medical decision-making skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Comfort in a fast-paced, multifaceted inpatient environment

• Ability to rotate across multiple hospital campuses is required

Required Education and Experience:

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing (APRN)

• Experience in procedural, interventional, or surgical specialties preferred (not required)

• Previous IR or fluoroscopy experience preferred but not required

• Open to new graduates with strong interest in Interventional Radiology and procedural care

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

• Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license

• Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or other nationally recognized certification organization
