SSM Health Heart and Vascular - St. Marys Heart Care | St. Louis (Bellevue Ave.) | SSM Health is seeking a cardiology nurse practitioner or physician assistant. APP support enables physicians to practice at the top of their license while ensuring accessible patient services and flexibility for urgent and new appointments, consults, and procedures.

Outpatient Clinic Duties:
- Support cardiology clinic operations at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital.
- Five-day work week with four (4) days in clinic and one (1) day stress test supervision and hospital rounding.
- Complete patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and post-hospital follow-ups.
- Review symptoms, medications, testing, and treatment plans.
- Coordinate testing, referrals, procedures, and follow-up care.
- Education patients and families on care plans and next steps.
- Anticipate seeing 12-13 patients per day in clinic once onboarding is completed.
Hospital/Inpatient Duties:
- Support inpatient cardiology needs at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital.
- Assist with hospital rounding, consult support, and discharge planning.
- Participate in patient evaluations, care planning, and transitions of care.
- Coordinate with physicians, nursing, care management, and ancillary teams.
- Anticipate 5-10 patient consults per day once onboarding is completed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Active Missouri RN & APRN licensure (NP) or certified Physician Assistant or ability to obtain.
- Prefer experience in cardiology or new/recent graduates with rotations in cardiology or adult medicine.
