Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters Norfolk, VA

Seeking additional full-time, Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for a busy, 32-bed multi-disciplinary PICU in the only free-standing children’s hospital in the Commonwealth of Virginia. We partner with the University of Virginia in our Congenital Cardiac Surgery program and care for post-operative cardiac patients as part of our PICU population. Candidates with Cardiac Intensive Care interest, training, or experience are strongly urged to apply.

We have an active ECMO program, a busy Trauma service and all medical and surgical specialties represented. You will be joining the physician-owned, Children’s Specialty Group, PLLC which also serves as the Eastern Virginia Medical School Department of Pediatrics.

We treat patients from southeastern Virginia to Carolina, which includes roughly 450,000 children and adolescents. CSG is comprised of over 200 board certified or eligible physicians and 80 advanced practice providers to care for patients throughout the area. We are the sole provider of medical specialty care at CHKD, which is the only freestanding children’s hospital in Virginia. CSG is a physician owned group whose mission is to provide direct high-quality healthcare to children and adolescents, train, and conduct research to improve children’s health. Requirements

Minimum Requirements for Advanced Practice Provider:

Schedule: Full-time rotating days/nights/weekends
BLS and PALS certification will be required prior to start date
Pediatric Nursing Certification Board certificate for CPNP-AC
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/PA-C certification required
