Summary:

Infection Preventionist directs interventions that protect patients from healthcareassociated infections (HAIs) in clinical and other settings. Senior Nurse Infection Preventionist works with clinicians and administrators to improve patient and systemslevel outcomes and reduce HAIs and related adverse events. Supervises and coordinates the functions of staff within the department.

Education:

Essential:
* Bachelor's degree in nursing obtained through a formal 4-year program

Experience:
* Five years of related experience

Credentials:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse

* CIC certified preferred, or will obtain within 1 year of employment
