Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Fellowship training in Headache Medicine required
• State of Michigan License
• Expertise in managing complex headache disorders, including chronic migraine, cluster headache, and medication overuse headache
• Proficiency with headache procedures such as botulinum toxin injections and nerve blocks
• Strong communication and patient education skills

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Evaluating and managing patients with primary and secondary headache disorders
• Performing procedures such as Botox for chronic migraine and peripheral nerve blocks
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including pain management, behavioral health, and primary care
• Developing individualized treatment plans, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic approaches
• Educating patients on lifestyle modifications, treatment adherence, and migraine management strategies
• Participating in team-based care initiatives and quality improvement projects
