Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Position
Orthopedics, Regenerative & Sports Medicine
Practice: Rothenberg Orthopedics, Regenerative and Sports Medicine Location: South Florida
Position Type: Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider
Practice Focus: Non-surgical orthopedics, sports medicine, and regenerative treatments

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) who shares our commitment to patient care and is ready to grow with our expanding practice.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and motivated advanced practice provider who thrives in a high-volume clinical environment and is committed to delivering comprehensive orthopedic and sports medicine care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including detailed history taking, physical examinations, and musculoskeletal evaluations
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries, and degenerative conditions
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures including joint injections, trigger point injections, and other in-office procedures
- Administer regenerative medicine treatments including PRP (platelet-rich plasma), shockwave therapy, and laser treatments
- Manage high patient volume efficiently while maintaining quality of care and patient satisfaction
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRI, ultrasound) and laboratory tests
- Prescribe medications and develop comprehensive treatment protocols within scope of practice
- Collaborate with referring physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
- Provide patient education on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and long-term wellness strategies
- Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in electronic health records (ECW)
- Participate in practice development initiatives and quality improvement programs
- Maintain current knowledge of orthopedic and sports medicine best practices through continuing education
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current, active Florida state license as a Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- National board certification (AANP, ANCC for NPs; NCCPA for PAs)
- Valid DEA license or ability to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, or musculoskeletal care preferred
- Experience with procedural skills, and musculoskeletal examinations
- Strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems (ECW experience preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Professional liability insurance or willingness to be covered under practice policy
Preferred Qualifications
- ONP-C (Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner-Certified) or equivalent orthopedic specialty certification
- Experience with regenerative medicine procedures (PRP, cellular therapy, shockwave, laser treatments)
- Background in sports medicine or athletic training Experience in high-volume clinical practice settings
- Familiarity with Weave communication platform and modern practice management systems
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus given South Florida patient demographics
- Prior experience in private practice or entrepreneurial healthcare settings
