JOB SUMMARY
The Certified Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive nurse-midwifery services, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, well-woman care, and family planning in alignment with established protocols and collaboration agreements. Responsibilities include performing history and physical exams, managing acute and chronic conditions within scope, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and coordinating referrals to appropriate healthcare providers or community resources. The role also includes monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, administering medications and IV therapies during labor, and offering emotional support throughout pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. Additional duties include maintaining accurate medical records, participating in interdisciplinary teams, and upholding required hospital delivery privileges.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) credentials
Certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board
Active DEA registration and NPI number
Authorization to work and practice in the United States
Ability to work flexible hours between clinic and hospital settings
Prior experience in OB/GYN or certified nurse midwifery preferred
CPR and NRP certifications preferred
